Clear Budgeting ("we," "our," or "the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our budgeting application.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Authentication credentials (managed securely through Firebase Authentication or Google Sign-In)

Financial Data You Enter

The App stores financial data you voluntarily enter, including:

• Transaction amounts and descriptions
• Income and expense categories
• Store names and notes
• Budget settings and limits
• Receipt images (processed locally for text extraction)

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to Pro:

• Subscription status and type
• Purchase dates and expiration
• Family group membership

Note: Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

Family Sharing Data

If you use family sharing:

• Family group membership
• Shared categories and transactions
• Member email addresses (visible to family members)

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality
• Sync your data across your devices (Pro feature)
• Enable family sharing features (Pro feature)
• Process and manage your subscription
• Send important service notifications
• Improve the App and fix bugs

Data Storage and Security

Storage Location

• Local Data: Stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
• Cloud Data (Pro): Stored in Google Firebase Firestore (US data centers)

Security Measures

• Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL)
• Encryption at rest
• Secure authentication through Firebase Auth
• Access controls limiting data access to authorized users

Data Sharing

We Do NOT:

• Sell your personal data to third parties
• Share your financial data with advertisers

We MAY Share Data With:

• Firebase (Google): For authentication and cloud storage (Pro users)
• Apple: For subscription management and App Store services
• Family Members: If you join a family group, other members can see shared data
