Introduction
Family Summit ("we," "our," or "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used. You can use the core of the App — goals, habits, and the daily challenge — entirely on your device without an account.
Information We Collect
If you create an account to enable Cloud backup or Family Sharing, we collect:
- Your email address and display name
- An optional avatar photo or emoji you choose
- The goals, tasks, comments, and daily-challenge entries you create
- An identifier used to associate your data with your account and family
If you don't enable Cloud backup, this data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
How We Use Your Information
Your data is used only to operate the App: to sign you in, sync your goals across your devices, and share progress with family members you invite. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Account and synced data are stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). All transmission is encrypted in transit. See Google's privacy policy for their data-handling practices.
On-Device AI
Goal-writing suggestions are generated on your device using Apple Intelligence. Your goal text is not sent to us or any third party for this feature. On devices without Apple Intelligence, the coach simply does not appear.
Family Sharing
If you create or join a family, the members you invite (up to 10) can see the goals and progress you choose to share. Goals you mark as private are visible only to you. Joining a family requires approval from the family owner.
Purchase Information
If you purchase Family Summit Cloud, your purchase is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not use analytics or advertising services
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
- We do not access your location
- Photos are only used for the avatar you explicitly choose
Deleting Your Data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account → Delete Account in the App. You may also contact us to request deletion.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date above.
